The Layers of Age

Layers of Age is a collage painting combining three different canvases. The painting explores the concept of aging and the unspoken harsh reality of old age. Oftentimes, people take their youth for granted and always wish to become older. Only when they are past their youth do they realize the fleeting nature of time and the burdens that come with age. The three canvases symbolize different stages of life—youth, adulthood, and old age.
